Custom software development in Bradenton, Sarasota & Tampa Bay
Lefty Software LLC is based in Bradenton, Florida. I build custom web apps, cross-platform mobile apps, and API integrations. If your business is in Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch, or Tampa Bay, I can discuss your project and engagement fit remotely.
What's included
A written scope defines the engagement. The work includes:
- A discovery process and a written scope with a fixed price you can hold me to
- A full-stack build: interface, application logic, and database
- Web apps, mobile apps, and the integrations between your existing tools
- Authentication, roles, and an admin area your team can actually use
- Automated tests so changes stay safe to make
- Hosting, domain, SSL, and backups configured for you
- Documentation and a handover walkthrough at the end
- 30 days of support after the website goes live
Discovery, build, launch, support
I start with the business process, agree the scope, and build against it. Location does not replace a clear plan or a useful demonstration of the software.
Discovery
I start with a remote conversation about your business and the work your team does by hand today. Bring an example of the process you want to improve, with private customer details removed. Discovery produces a written scope with a fixed price.
Build
I share working software on a staging link so you can try the agreed workflow and give feedback. Checking real tasks during the build helps catch missing steps before launch. Changes outside the scope are discussed before work starts.
Launch
Deployment, hosting, domain and SSL setup, and data migration from whatever you use today, handled end to end, with a walkthrough so your team knows exactly how to run the thing.
Support
For 30 days after the website goes live, I provide support for defects and questions. Changes and maintenance are available at an agreed hourly rate. Monitoring can be purchased separately.
A Bradenton studio for Gulf Coast businesses
Lefty Software LLC is based in Bradenton. This page is for Gulf Coast businesses considering custom software, whether the need is an internal tool or a customer-facing product. You do not need a technical specification to start a conversation. Describe where the current process breaks down, who does the work, and which tools they use. I can discuss engagement fit remotely before proposing a build. Written requirements and examples matter more than proximity when deciding whether a project makes sense.
A useful starting point is a task that your existing tools handle poorly. That might be a spreadsheet whose rules live in one person's head, a booking system that requires duplicate entry, or a field workflow that is awkward on a phone. Custom software is one option, but configuring an existing tool may be the better answer. My portfolio gives you concrete examples to compare with your own requirements: a platform for a working racquet stringer and a scheduling SaaS for racquet-sports clubs.
If you are outside Florida, I can discuss the same services remotely. The next step is to identify the work, access requirements, and people who need to review it. Start with custom web app development, cross-platform mobile app development, or API design & systems integration.
Questions I hear a lot
Straight answers about working together, from Bradenton and beyond.
Do you only work with Florida businesses?
No. Lefty Software LLC is based in Bradenton, Florida, and offers software development across the United States. I can discuss your needs remotely, whether you are in Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, Sarasota, Tampa Bay, or elsewhere. The conversation starts with the project requirements and whether I am a fit for the work.
How much does custom software cost?
New projects are fixed-price, with a written scope and quote agreed after discovery and before development starts. You know what the initial build includes and what it costs. Changes and maintenance can be provided at an agreed hourly rate. Monitoring is available if purchased separately.
How do I discuss a project with you?
Use the contact form to describe what you want to improve and which systems are involved. I can discuss engagement fit remotely. Before development starts, I agree a written scope and quote with you, including what is delivered, what is excluded, and how you will review the work.
Can you take over software another developer built?
Often, yes. I start with a code review and tell you honestly what I found: an assessment of the codebase and a recommendation. Sometimes the right move is to rebuild a piece; sometimes it is to leave a working system alone. You hear it straight before spending money.
What happens after launch?
Every website project includes 30 days of support for defects and questions after the website goes live. Changes and maintenance can be provided at an agreed hourly rate. Monitoring is available if purchased separately. If you prefer to run the system in-house, documentation and a handover walkthrough are part of the engagement.
Who owns the code?
You do — completely. When a project is paid for, the source code, configuration, and documentation I produced are yours, with no license fees and no lock-in. If you ever want the work continued by another developer, everything needed to pick it up is in the handover.
