Discovery

We start with a conversation about your business, your users, and the constraints you live with. I turn that into a written scope with a fixed price, so we agree on what "done" means before any code exists.

Build

You see working software early and often. I deliver in small increments you can click through, and every one of them is tested and reviewed — you are never more than a week away from seeing real progress.

Launch

I handle deployment end to end: hosting, domain and SSL setup, data migration from whatever you use today, and a walkthrough so your team knows exactly how to run the thing.

Support

For 30 days after the website goes live, I provide support for defects and questions. Changes and maintenance are available at an agreed hourly rate. Monitoring can be purchased separately.

How much does a custom web app cost?

New projects are fixed-price, with a written scope and quote agreed after discovery and before development starts. You know what the initial build includes and what it costs. Changes and maintenance can be provided at an agreed hourly rate. I discuss any work outside the original scope with you before starting, so you can decide whether to proceed.

How long will it take?

It depends on scope, and I won't guess before I've seen yours. Discovery produces a written schedule alongside the quote. Simple internal tools are typically a matter of weeks; larger products are delivered in stages, so you're using real software long before the last feature lands.

Who owns the code?

You do — completely. When a project is paid for, the source code, configuration, and documentation I produced are yours, with no license fees and no lock-in. If you ever want the work continued by another developer, everything needed to pick it up is in the handover.

What happens after launch?

Every website project includes 30 days of support for defects and questions after the website goes live. Changes and maintenance can be provided at an agreed hourly rate. Monitoring is available if purchased separately. If you prefer to manage the website in-house, I provide documentation and a handover walkthrough so another developer can take over.

What do you build with?

Mostly Go, a relational database, and modern HTML — chosen for longevity rather than novelty. The stack is boring on purpose: it is cheap to host, easy to maintain, and fast for your users. That said, the tool follows the project, including staying on technology your team already knows.

Can you take over an existing web app?

Often, yes. I start with a code review and tell you honestly what I found. You get an assessment of the codebase and a recommendation — sometimes the right move is to rebuild a piece, and sometimes it is to leave a working system alone. Either way, you hear it straight before spending money.
